THE PORTABLE LOWER EAST SIDE
The Portable Lower East Side was a New York City cultural and literary journal founded, published and edited by Kurt Hollander. The magazine was published twice a year (except for double issues) from 1983 to 1994. The first two issues were typewritten, photocopied and stapled by hand, but after the third issue the magazine was offset printed. In this blog are some of the front and back covers, and some texts and images from several of the issues of the magazine.
